Tokyo was founded in 1457 with the name of Edo (or Yedo). This incredible metropolis is the capital of the Japanese empire since 1868, when it replaced Kyoto, the city symbol of the Japanese tradition, dubbed as the ‘Old Capital’ or ‘City of Samurais’.
